I covered mine with matte medium and coated them with black decorative sand from the Dollar Tree or Scenic Express's lump coal. The Accurail loads are a great product I need to get a LOT more of. I have limited my hopper inventory to Accurail and Athearn since Accurail produces coal loads for those. A bit backwards but...
