As a companion to
Wordless Wedneday #96 and inspired by a comment from Jeff S, here's what the Hanna Coal Co's Office & Maintenance complex looks like in 2012.

There's not much of anything left now, just a few piles of rubble and empty pads of concrete.
Here's another view from past looking south.

"GEORGETOWN COMPLEX" What a FLOOD of memories!!! I was the Land Manager for Consol's Central Div & my office was on the 3rd, 7th window from the left. The Engineering dept. & the Land Dept. occupied the whole floor on this wing. Do you have a date? I'm guess ing about 82 or 83. The 2 buildings to the right of the offices are the "Machine Shops" & the white across the road is the "Garage" (vehicle maintenance). This was a 24/7 operation and there little sign of activity. The "Company Store", which was in front of the garage along the road, has razed & the gas pumps removed. There is smoke coming from the steam plant, so heat was still going to the buildings. WOW!!! I spent a lot of long days there.
