Wordless Wednesday #103

Many of the W&LE wood 0800 class survived in the N&W era. Here's hastily repainted exW&LE 0876/NKP 876 somewhere on the Wheeling District, maybe along the Ohio River.

  1. Neat photo Chris. Thanks for posting it. I wonder if this isn't @ Warrenton? Take care.

  2. Chris,
Thanks for that picture. Now I'll have to build a couple of those cabooses for the Canton Freight House layout. Will look nice in with the steel cabooses, I think.

  3. The only thing that makes me NOT absolutely sure this is Warrenton is the boats in the left of the picture. All the times I visited there I do not recall seeing boats near there. Could this possibly be near the Cardinal Power Plant @ Brilliant, OH? Just a thought ... take care.

  4. Great photo Chris! Thanks for sharing it. Speaking of photos (and since I don't seem to have a direct email address for you), I wanted to be sure to point you to these pics in case you haven't seen them before (https://www.facebook.com/groups/abandonedrails/permalink/1368584096508435/). They were taken in 1991 at Adena, Ohio of the W&LE Shannon Run to Georgetown, Ohio coal train

    1. Thanks Chris! Someone shared those photos to the Facebook Wheeling & Lake Erie Fanpage, but I made sure to join that Abandoned Rails Group. I love those kind of pictures.
