I don't think the picture does the size of this locomotive justice, judging by the comparison to the size of the engineer leaning out the window. Not familiar with this one, you say N&W built it themselves?
Yeah they were pretty chunky looking. Yes the N&W built them in their Roanoke shops. I guess they were pretty rough riding and generally disliked by the crews. Needless to say they didn't last very long after the NKP took over the Wheeling, but long enough for me to have one or two.
