Wordless Wednesday #117

NKP Berkshire 776, a leftover from my Bellevue/Cleveland modeling plans, tests clearances and the grade between Pine Valley Yard and Long Run Tunnel.

  1. Looking good Chris! "Tests" like this really confirm the feasibility of your fine modeling and presents incentives to "keep going." I really like the brightness of the headlight and mars light ... very prototypical! Thanks for keeping us informed of your progress.

    1. Thanks Jim! This test revealed some issues with the grade not being as even as I thought. My slope spiked at 2.5% causing some stress to the poor 776. While I have plenty of photos of doubleheaded Berks pulling coal from Dillonvale, I don't want every train out of Pine Valley to need two engines.
