Thanks for sharing this picture Chris. In some ways it is a bit sad ... glad I was able to see in "better days and times." Was there anything of value left inside the yard office or had it been removed? Do you happen to know the "size" of the building. The day I was there, I was unable to measure it. Thanks again for the memories.
I could only peak inside the broken window you can see at the end of the building in the photo. Not much remains inside, parts of the roof have also collapsed.
When I was at the CSU Special Collections Library I found the blueprints for the building and scanned them on the spot. To my surprise the building even had a basement. Having the exact measurements will make creating a model of the yard office a little easier.
Chris, I remember how thrilled you were when we got to Pine Valley yard and found the building still standing. That was a great "field trip"! Thanks for posting the picture!
The building was too well hidden among the trees growing around it using Google Maps and Streetview, which was my only real view of Dillonvale before that trip. A very exciting find, even if it is in sad shape.
